BIOGRAPHY
Melissa Emma Reeves is an 9 year veteran fighting out of Los Angeles. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Melissa moved to the USA to live with her boyfriend at the time, James Maxwell.
At the time James was part of a local wrestling organisation, and Melissa began working alongside him as his valet. When she decided to take up wrestling training, James helped and encouraged her. After year of training she made her debut, picking up her first win against a local jobber. Over the years Melissa developed a crazier and crazier ring style, risking more and more each time she fought.
The risk taking caught up with her, though, she when suffered multiple fractures to her leg and heavy neck and head injuries after a cage spot gone wrong. Melissa had to undergo multiple surgeries to repair her leg and to correct damage in her neck, and was given the prognosis of a six month stint on the sidelines. With her stuck at home, recovering, relations with her boyfriend began to strain and the pair parted two months into her recovery. The promotion which she had risked her life for turned their backs on her, casting her out because of her splitting with James. Alone, angry and hurt, Melissa severed ties with her former friends and found herself alone in the big city.
Seeing her mental state deteriorating, Melissa's close friend Becka White decided to step in and help. She set up interviews for Melissa with other, local organisations, with a view to Melissa returning to the ring after her recovery was complete. As well as that, Melissa also began to use social media in an attempt to network with others in her line or work, and build new friendships to replace what had been lost. She played a large role in the formation of a group of friends - many of whom had been outcasts or loners, much like herself - and the days of her being alone appeared to be behind her.
Melissa's career was reignited at SAP, and the desire to compete had truly returned to her. With members of her friendship group already at Honor Wrestling, as well as numerous people she either knew or knew of, it seemed a logical step that it should be her next place to call home. Whilst at Honor, she managed to become the first (and only) Iron Maiden Champion.
Following its collapse, Melissa initially signed for Code Red Wrestling - a doomed promotion which never even held a show before closing. After that she set her sights on FSociety, where she arrived in early 2017. She scored three successive wins, seeing her tag team with Sarah Lacklan given a shot against the tag champs in a 4-way tag match, where the champions retained but Melissa's team did not take the fall. After that she scored another two wins, one as a tag and one individually, to earn a second shot against the tag champs. She eventually won tag gold partnering Chuck Matthews, before #FSociety closed.
She next moved on to FAW, where she is currently employed - and has earned a chance at their top title in her short time there.
